Fishing

Lake Alsensjön stretches for around 20 km from right in front of our house to the village of Alsen, which gives it its name.

It is home to a considerable number of large pike and perch, as well as trout and grayling. Many of the attractive fishing spots are fairly close to our bay. You can try your luck around weedy banks, steep drop-offs, rocky shallows, peninsulas or in deep holes up to 22 m!

The large variety of different habitats makes spinning one of the most attractive fishing methods in the lake. For those who want to target specifically trout and large pelagic pike, trolling is an interesting alternative.

Sustainable management of our natural resources is important to us, and that is why we release many of the fish we catch. You can eat fresh fish as well though – we think that harvesting and eating some of the fish we catch is an integral part of our natural lifestyle.
